The Lutheran Women's Missionary League(LWML), with a membership of over 250,000, is the official women's auxiliary of The Lutheran Church of the Missouri Synod. The LWML focuses on affirming each woman in her relationship with Christ to enable her to be in ministry among the people of the world. It"s the beginning of a new year! A fresh start that means we might make resolutions to change some patterns in our lives. Exercise more, eat less and make healthier food choices. We might make these the main thing in our lives, at least for a month or two.What about refocusing our hearts? Bringing more light into our lives? Gifts designated for the Seminary Food Bank are used to purchase perishable items such as meat, vegetables and dairy products. Direct donations of food are most often in the form of dry goods or canned products. 
The Food Bank is open twice each week for students to pick up items, and once each month for meat selections. 
The Food Bank plays a vital role in keeping daily, non-educational coststoa minimum. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
The Guild donates monthly to the Concordia Seminary food bank for seminary students, along with giving monthly contributions for mission needs in the community. The Guild purchases our kitchen supplies. This year silverware, trays, coffee pots and pitchers were obtained. Serving funeral dinners, purchasing flowers for the altar when needed.
